PLAYING TO HELP OTHERS!

2020 CANCELED

2021 TBD

We host the MAOPT to encourage active aging through playing pickleball. Under the current environment, we do not see a way to run an indoor tournament without causing potential harm to attendees.

We believe in the benefits of this event and look forward to playing together in the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Open Pickleball Tournament.

We hope we are back on the courts in the near future. Stay well and stay distant.

Best Regards
MAOPT Team

The 2019 Mid-Atlantic Open Pickleball Tournament was sold out with approximately 315 players from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.  Our youngest and oldest participants were 12 and 80 years old! The skill levels range from 3.0 to 5.0 players.

We appreciate the continued interest and support in the MAOPT!
The 2019 MAOPT was fun to watch, competitive to play, and enjoyable for our participants!

This is an all volunteer-run tournament.  We are so grateful for all the people who help us make our 2019 so successful.

We believe in giving back to our community. Our charity partners were the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area and Educate the Girls, Inc.  During the tournament, we also collected new and used paddles for the pickleball programs in Arlington County Public Schools and gently used athletic shoes for the MORE Foundation.
